Or should I say active altruism? It’s that spirit of concern and action on behalf of others. Like warm soup on a cold winter day, it is soothing and fills us with a feeling of satisfaction. That’s how human kindness and offering to help others feels.

What is it that spurs some people to service while others are unmoved?

It’s a lonely path, improving the world. How many of us have it on our list for 2015?

Someone in my family gave me this cup a few years ago for my birthday.

     Every now and then, I consider the message that was delivered in that little cup, but mind you, for just a moment.  It’s nice to have a choice. I choose to continue.
