Old pictures
Pictures capture so many things. They remind us of emotions and experiences that we might not think of without them to trigger the specific recall. You know what I mean. Completely out of mind, but one photo of a trip brings back the entire vacation.
Pictures speak to us.
Pictures reflect artistic talent and perspective.
Pictures decorate our lives.
Pictures are personal.
Take a look at the pictures that surround a person in their home and work space. You will get a glimpse of things that interest them, colors that speak to them and probably some of the people who mean something to them.
Over the last few days, I have been looking through old pictures. Boxes and albums full of photos that captured 40 years of memories. I heard “who, who” – who is that? I thought about all the life captured in those black and whites and color snapshots. The cameras are better nowadays, but the story is always the same. We photograph what we are doing and who we are with. I could remember every person, place and time. You do too. Look around you and see what I mean.
