birthday dreams

What if you knew that dreams mattered? What if you felt real emotion after a dream? How do you use dreams? Do you tell them? Do you write them down? We have the key to our own dreams. Look inside, listen to your heart and ask yourself “what is the message”? Listen to this dream and see what you think it means.

A woman in her mid-30’s youngest child is having a birthday today. She told me this dream she had last night as I sat at the table watching her prepare the birthday breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs which were his special request to start this day. I remembered that Grandmama Ruby always said “don’t tell a dream before breakfast unless you want it to come true”. So, the dream started like this. She was at a circus or some kind of special event. She saw Santa Claus and a magician with kids lined up to see them. Then, she saw Aunt Margie, who was even more popular than them with a longer line of kids. She rushed to the front of the line pushing little kids out of her way and arrived first. Was she a little kid? No, she was the only adult in the line. She got there first and went up to her, got in her lap and felt so happy. It was a surreal feeling. Aunt Margie told her “everything will be ok” and hugged her tight. As she told the story, she said she actually felt that hug. It was so wonderful. Even this morning, she was overcome with emotion telling the story. What was the message?

It’s really so simple. You are loved. You are special. You are going to be ok. Relax into this warm hug, like you did when you were a little girl. Even though you have children of your own and I am no longer with you in earthly form, there is unconditional love that lasts forever that will be there for you whenever you need it.

Our dreams do deliver messages, if we can receive them. This special dream came on a birthday filled with monster trucks, chocolate cake and gifts from family. There is a day planned with his favorite dinner of chicken rice soup and time to play with his toys. Everyone needs someone to love and be loved by. That’s what family do best! I am glad I could be here for both- the dream report and the birthday festivities.
