troubled
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled…… ( your heart, your emotions, your inner being). This is a command. How do you command someone to take authority over their emotions, if they don’t have the ability through the Word to do so? When trouble comes( circumstance) doesn’t mean you have to respond with an equal negative emotion. Just because you are in trouble doesn’t mean you have to be troubled by your emotions. You can decide the emotions you will have in the midst of those troubles.
It is a lie for anyone to tell you that you don’t control how you feel and have control over your emotions. When you are “going off”, you think you don’t have control. You decide how people treat you and you decide how you want to be treated. I don’t stand there and be disrespected, I just leave. Remove yourself from people and situations that are negative and unnecessary.
Deuteronomy 30:1919 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live (NKJV)
I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing- choose life that thou and thou seed my live and prosper. You and I can choose. We do have authority over our emotions in Jesus. It’s time to take control of your feelings.
God doesn’t want us to live by the natural circumstances. We have the answers and right responses in the spiritual part of us. I will not let my emotions dominate me in this natural world. Genesis 1:26 God created man in his own image……we were not created to stand alone. He created “them”. He meant for us to grow in relationship with others. No man is an island is a true statement. We don’t want to become emotionless and hide behind scripture. God created us as the body of Christ- we should have a connection and relationship with somebody.
