Timing
I was sitting in an upscale restaurant by the window, enjoying a coffee bar and waiting for my breakfast when I saw this rainbow out the window. I took this picture and kept looking at it in awe. Within 30 seconds, it disappeared, as quickly as it had appeared.
What are the odds that I would sit by the window, look out at just the right moment or catch this glimpse before it evaporated? Pretty low odds, but then again, I believe that life is all about timing. I was in the right place at the right time! Before the rainbow, I had my first cup with all the condiments. After the rainbow, I had a second cup that was flavored to perfection with just the right combination of toppings.
I love this place and will always remember this moment in time with my family!! It was extra special to see the rainbow!
Pastor Ed Young talked about Solomon, the wisest man in the world’s perspective of life. He ended his sermon with this verse:
Ecclesiastes 9:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Truly, timing and chance are guided by our divine purpose when we trust in God.
