Faith
“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.”
– Anatole France
We seem to be dominated by either our right brain ( ethereal, artistic, intuitive, feeling) or our left brain ( concrete, practical, sensible, action-oriented). In my experience, I find that some people find it hard to imagine or believe their dreams can come true and some people find it hard to act on all the things they can conjure up in their mind’s eye. From this statement, it seems that both are required for “great things”.
Did you realize that your unconscious beliefs control your conscious choices? Can you comprehend that what you believe will happen, well it will, if you have anything to do with it?? Have you heard – you have not because you ask not? Have you heard- people have what they want, because if they wanted something different – they would have it? Have you heard people say, “I am so stressed, I don’t know what to do, I don’t know where to turn or what to say or what to think?” I say, “about what?” Why? Why would someone not have a clear link between their unconscious and conscious, their beliefs and actions, their dreams and plans for those dreams to materialize?
It’s easier. That’s why. It’s so much easier to remain in that gray zone, no man’s land, torn between desire and action, debating your options, reviewing your choices, making lists of pros and cons, developing flight plans that go no where but make you feel more secure that you are doing something- even if it comes to naught.
Why would we choose the easy path to nowhere? The road to “hell is paved with good intentions”. Good intentions? We convince ourselves that we must take our time, we must make sure, we must think this thing through, we must weigh the risks/benefits, we must make sure we don’t embarrass ourselves or make a mistake, we must, must, must, must , we must this and we must that…..to the point that it consumes our thoughts and we are always “must”erbating as Wayne Dyer says!!!
A mind stretched never returns to its original limitations. Once we have accomplished something great, beyond our original perception of reality, everything we ever thought is irreversibly transformed and we never see anything in the world the same way again. Our minds hold an amazing capacity that is virtually untapped.
“Within each of us there are certainly great storehouses of abilities and capacities which we have never used. If they were manifested, we would consider ourselves in a different light.” Edgar Cayce
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Use your faith and all of your substance to create the life you wish for.
